I was never quite sure what this was, so I’ve done some research and artist Joe Petagno says it’s a hybrid gorilla-dog-wolf skull with boars’ teeth and chains and spikes and stuff. All I can say is, it’s absolute genius. If Lemmy had asked me to do an iconic sketch that would encompass the ethos of Motorhead and go down in history as the greatest heavy metal logo of all time, I would panic, curl up into a ball and start to wail existentially. Luckily Joe didn’t.
