Thank you everyone for submitting your amazing artwork. Just to remind you, the assignment was:
Draw Roobarb and Custard, dressed as Batman and Robin, getting chased by a police giraffe with an elephant’s trunk.
And as I suspected, you were up to the task.
Because they were so good, we’re having a top three. The two runners-up will get a free print of their choice, and the winner a T-shirt.
Here’s the top three.
Third Place – Sarah MacDonald
Never mind the flowing capes and the super speediness of it all, just look at the Batmobile. Sarah, you must’ve been involved in the design of the original. Brilliant.
Second Place – Pat Wingrave
Roobarb and Custard didn’t need a Batmobile to look fast here. They’re outrunning a very cute-looking police car, specially designed for giraffes with elephant’s noses. Incredible.
The Winner – Phillip Hunter
Phillip, what can I say, full colour, dynamic, grumpy police giraffe with vicious-looking truncheon trunk – and the alternative Robin outfit is much better than the original. You win.
