I thought this week we could share some of our favourite second-best Iron Maiden songs and see which ones are the most popular and make the Top Ten.

The voting is closed now, thanks for taking part. The results are below.

If they’re in the list below they’re banned because they are the classics and that would be too easy. I have to say, the banned songs are heavily biased towards the earlier albums which are my favourites.

I hope I`m right in saying this but Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter by Iron Maiden is there only ever No.1 UK Chart Song(back in the day) i can still remember when my mum told me and I was thinking are you sure and she said yes its just been on the radio. Had to wait for it to be played again to believe it but she was right 🙂

Awful song – so bad, it shouldn’t even get on the 10 Worst Iron Maiden songs!

Moonchild is a dangerous song to drive to, the build up on the intro just forces your foot down on the accelerator.

I much prefer Maiden’s earlier stuff. Not listened to anything when Bruce left.

Couldn’t get a ticket myself Ian but there is a deep vault of tracks to choose from. I hope they do some of the Di’Anno tracks. Remember Tomorrow off the 1st album has always been a favourite

Heaven Can Wait is an absolute banger live.

The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg has such a good hook. It’s actually a great song. One of the better ones of the ‘Modern Era’. A Matter of Life and Death is probably their best post 2000 album in my opinion.

And really, don’t overlook the 2 Blaze Bayley albums. There are some decent songs on both of them.

What a great idea! 🙂 Moonchild, These Colours Don’t Run and 22 Acacia Avenue are probably mine, but it was too difficult to narrow down to vote.
